Wuffy robot puppy: what buyers received

Short version. Wuffy is the most heavily advertised of the 2025–2026 "AI robot puppy" brands and the one with a regulator's ruling attached. The ad shows a lifelike puppy that sits on command and tilts its head. What ships is a two-AA-battery plush, about four inches long, that paces or walks a few steps and plays a squeaky bark when you tap its head. What arrives

Buyer descriptions are consistent across Trustpilot, the BBB and two television investigations:

  • One buyer who ordered "Wuffy" received three smaller dogs branded NICO. — BBB Scam Tracker #1244803, April 2026

Wuffy's sales page claims "AI-powered adaptive behavior", "German Engineering Excellence", "100% handmade… wrapped in artificial leather", and "America's #1 rated robot puppy". Its own terms and conditions, archived in January 2026, say: "Our products are manufactured in China", deliveries come "from our warehouses in China", and "Our Products are not toys and should never be given to children."

Who sells it

The archived terms name UAB Commerce Core, "a limited liability company incorporated in the State Enterprise Register of Lithuania, company No. 302566167, with a registered office address at Savanorių pr. 363, Kaunas". The checkout configuration lists UAB Rara Digital, Gedimino pr. 20, Vilnius as the merchant address. The U.S.-facing BBB profile lists a Rancho Cucamonga, California address and the checkout domain getwuffy.checkoutera.com.

The same two companies have a regulatory history: ASA rulings against UAB Commerce Core trading as FitsWatch (2021) and NuraBreeze (November 2025), and against UAB Rara Digital trading as Airabreeze (November 2025). Which? traced fraudulent clickbait ads on major news sites to UAB Commerce Core in 2023. The storefronts follow a pattern — getwuffy.com, getvisionfocus.com, getvoltex.com — and the Waggy and WiggyDog sites are the Wuffy template with the name replaced.

What the regulator and the press found

  • ASA ruling, 25 March 2026 (G25-1321974, UAB CommerceCore t/a WiggyDog): 22 complainants; the Wuffy Meta ad was found to breach the CAP Code on misleading advertising, substantiation and exaggeration. Meta told ITV it had removed the advertiser from its platforms.
  • BBB: rating F for failure to respond to eight of nine complaints in twelve months; 130 Scam Tracker reports mention Wuffy, with reported losses of $30 to $157 and delivery delays of six to eight weeks.
  • KTLA / Rich DeMuro (February 2026) and ITV News (March 2026) ran buyer investigations; ITV's buyer paid £12.99 per unit through TikTok Shop for a toy that "only moved backward and forward and squeaked".
  • Truth in Advertising flagged the "100% money-back guarantee" against a returns policy that excludes reduced-price goods while the whole store is "70% off".

Prices, shipping and returns

Prices load only in the checkout. Reported: three dogs for $75 (KTLA), $58.24 for three (BBB), $94.76 and $157.48 in other BBB reports, £12.99 per unit on TikTok Shop, and one variant with a hidden "$49.99/month VIP membership". The checkout adds "extended protection", "shipping protection" and a "3-year protection" upsell.

Shipping is advertised as 4–7 business days; the shipping policy allows 5–12 business days plus "an additional 14 business days"; the terms say 5 to 20 calendar days; buyers report six weeks to "well into January" for Christmas orders.

Returns: 30 days, photos required, original packaging, "all shipping costs regarding returns are the sole responsibility of the customer", return addresses supplied only by support, "no refund for outlet goods or reduced-priced goods", and a 12-hour cancellation window.

If you already ordered

Cancel within 12 hours if you can. Once the toy arrives, do not pay to ship it to Lithuania; dispute the charge with your card issuer as "not as described" with the ad, the order page and a photo of what arrived.
